Jac was first inspired to pursue photography at age 15, in attendance at Ellesmere College in Leeston. Moving to Hagley Community College a year later, she continued her artistic education through to graduation in Graphic Design from Ara Institute of Technology this year. Jac’s particular photographic interests are surrealism and nature photography, utilising multiple digital editing techniques such as double exposure. Her main inspiration is her cat Joe, featured in this piece and the subject of multiple others in her portfolio. She is particularly excited to offer her work for this fundraising auction for the Black Sheep Animal Sanctuary, especially for her two favourite cows Hazel and Iris, who give the warmest hugs! Jac is embarking very soon on an adventure to South Carolina where she will be resident photographer and media specialist at YMCA Camp Greenville this American summer.
